Quilting in Tucson!!

I and 5 of my quilting buddies are headed to Tucson this week to attend a Tucson Quilter's Guild meeting, a Bonnie Hunter (HERE) trunk show, and 2 of Bonnie's workshops .  We are working on My Blue Heaven (HERE) and Playing with Jacks (HERE).  Both of these quilts are considered scrappy, which is Bonnie's specialty,  so the more fabrics, the merrier.

Bonnie is a gracious woman and is filled with so much experience and knowledge that I am in awe just chatting with her.  I am so looking forward to seeing her again!

I have done 4 of Bonnie's quilts:  Celtic Solstice (HERE), Easy Street, and 2 Playing with Jacks.
In the holding zone is: Orca Bay, Scrappy Mountain Majesties, Sister's Choice, and Jared takes a Wife.   It seems I am going to be a busy girl!!

Here are some of the fabrics I have prepped for the My Blue Heaven workshop:
- 700 blue geese sections
- 360  neutral wings
- 360 blue triangles
- 180 neutral rectangles
- 180 blue squares
- 180 blue and 180 neutral triangles pre-sewn in to 180 half square triangles (HST)
- extra fabric just in case

For the Playing With Jacks workshop, I have prepped:
- 180 squares of main fabric
- 1080 neutral and organized scrappy HST
- extra fabric just in case

I can't show a teaser photo of my Playing with Jacks as it may have a surprise ending.

Also, I have loaded several spools of thread, 12 filled bobbins, various and assorted seam rippers, cutters, pins, rulers, etc, etc.   AND my sewing machine, an iron, an ironing board, a cutting mat, hand lotion, etc, etc.

oh, yah....  and a suitcase for clothing and stuff.

May your week contain some pure joy.
