More "Mommy and Me" Time

My mom, Barb, has been with us only a few short weeks but her list of "1st"s continues to grow.

I had even found a couple streets named "after" her!!!

We spent the day Tuesday working on a list errands, including shopping for clothes, lunch, miscellaneous stops, and some "girl" time.

After all the necessary errands were completed, it was FINALLY time for our girl time.

For today's first, my mum experienced her first pedicure.... 

I have been trying to get her to consent to a pedi for a long time but she was resistant.  When she finally agreed, we asked for the full experience!!  

She was in awe the whole time and I am SURE that, if she could, she would have been kicking herself for passing on pedicures for so long.  

Every time a new massage, or sugar scrub, or lotion, or hot towel was introduced, I would hear a very satisfied sound from her.  

We even asked for a little artwork for good measure...  and somehow, her pedicurist knew that she would like glitter and stones incorporated into her artwork.  Good call on that one, Kim!!!

After our pedicures, we stopped at a salon and got our hair trimmed.  She spent most of the time either talking about, or looking at, her new toes.  She told her stylist that she was going to sleep with her toes sticking out of the quilt so she could look at them if she woke up.

As we were getting ready to head home, she said that the pedi was one of the best things that had happened to her in a long time.  

It just doesn't get any better than that !!

After dinner, we played a few hands of cards and we decided that her luck was due to her new toes.
